Service Description

New Moon Pet Training begins with a private, in-home assessment to identify your goals and create a personalized training plan. During this session, you'll learn essential skills such as clicker training and environmental management to set your cat up for success. What to bring: Treats your cat loves Clicker (available for purchase in our website's shop tab if needed) Not sure what they like? Try Churu, low-fat, plain Greek yogurt, or low-sodium tuna before your consult.


SERVICES & METHODS Professional cat training: behavioral modification, cues/tricks, leash training, recall using positive reinforcement or LIMA methods. No punishment methods permitted. PAYMENT & FEES Payment due by first session | Accepted: Cash, Check, Card, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App Late fee: $25 after 5 days | Returned check: $35 Travel fee: $25 beyond 20 miles/30 minutes from Highland, NY (45 mile max service area) CANCELLATION POLICY 48+ hours: No charge | 24-48 hours: $50 fee | Under 24 hours: Full session fee Emergency cancellations considered case-by-case Weather cancellations rescheduled free (severe weather, temps below 10°F/above 90°F) HEALTH REQUIREMENTS Current vaccinations: Rabies, FVRCP (vet waivers accepted). Recent fecal exam (12 months) OR monthly heartworm prevention required. EQUIPMENT We provide: training tools You provide: Treats, leash and harness if needed, clicker DISCOUNTS Professional: 10% off for vet/pet professionals For discounts: Select "pay in person" when booking. Can email invoice if prefer card payment. COMMUNICATION & PROGRESS Progress reports emailed weekly/per session with homework Videos via Google Drive for 1 month post-training Response: 24hrs texts, 48hrs emails (business hours only) VETERINARY COLLABORATION Training plan shared with your vet after first session. May recommend vet consultation for aggression, extreme anxiety, or compulsive behaviors. LIABILITY & SUCCESS Training requires consistent client practice. Client responsible for pet's actions/damages. Professional liability insurance maintained. Complete agreement emailed before first session.
